The Papyrus of the Wise "Ani".

It takes two centuries to reach this high level of human civilization

Abdul Rasoul family. It is a family that lived in Luxor in the nineteenth century AD, and was known to steal antiquities and pharaonic tombs and then sell them to antiquities dealers.

Abdel Rasoul's family found a papyrus in one of the Pharaonic tombs in 1881 during the period of the British occupation of Egypt .. Abdel Rasoul contacted a British archaeologist named (Wallace Badge) who of course bought the papyrus from the antiquities thief Abdul Rasoul and was able to smuggle it to England, and the papyrus is still Until now, it is on display in the British Museum in the Egyptian Antiquities Wing.

The papyrus dates back to the year 1350 BC, during the Nineteenth Dynasty. The papyrus is 23 meters long and 60 cm long, and 39 cm wide.

The papyrus talks about the ancient Egyptian human conception of life after death and the divine judgment of the soul. The writer of the papyrus (Ani) called it (Exodus into the day) because the ancient Egyptian man believed that death was the beginning of the day, the beginning of true life, the eternal, eternal life.

The Papyrus visualizes the Soul Court, made up of 42 judges, representing 42 Egyptian governorates. The deceased must confess to 42 positive or reward confessions that he did in his life, and 42 negative or sinful confessions that he did not commit in his life.

Among the essential parts of the papyrus is a prayer for the dead to defend himself (called confession of negation):

Peace be upon you, O the greatest God, the God of truth. I have come to you, O my God, to bear witness of your majesty,I came to you, O God, to be righteous, abandoning falsehood, and I have not wronged anyone, nor have I taken the path of the lost, I did not break an oath, and lust did not deceive me. My eyes did not extend to anyone's wife from my womb, nor did my hand extend to anyone else's money,  I was not a liar and I was not disobedient to you. O my God, I was not a cause of human tears, I was not, O my God, a cause of animal misery.
I (oh my God) did not cause anyone to starve nor did I cry anyone.
 Rather, I was not an instigator to kill, for I did not steal their bread from the temples, did not commit immorality, and did not desecrate anything sacred. I did not usurp unlawful money, nor did I violate the sanctity of the dead, because I did not sell wheat at an exorbitant price, and I did not deceive enough. I am pure, I am pure, I am pure. As long as you are innocent of sin, make me, my God, one of the winners.
