 The hen Laski aroused the mockery of the Egyptian public opinion. For the first time in Egypt, an urgent operation is being performed to save a chicken that fell from the rooftops of an elevated house in the Red Sea Governorate, and suffered a severe fracture of its feet.


The operation was performed by two veterinarians, during which two strips and 6 nails were installed, at a cost of 7 thousand pounds ($ 466), where the hen was received while she was in a state of severe fatigue and unable to move, and the operation was performed after undergoing sterilization, and some medical analyzes were performed, to make sure The integrity of its vital organs.


The veterinarian in charge of the treatment said, "I have operated on dogs and cats, but it is the first time that I have operated on a chicken."


The owner of the chicken is a Swiss citizen who lives in Egypt, and he was very frightened when the chicken fell from the top of the house and was severely collapsed, and he asked the doctor to rescue her and tell him if the matter required transferring it for treatment abroad, he will do so.


The veterinarian confirmed that the owner of the chicken wanted her to die by euthanasia after anesthesia, if hope for treatment was lost, but the doctor contacted doctors outside Egypt and inquired about the case and followed the proper medical steps, and put her under general anesthesia.



He explained that the difficulty was in the presence of nails and small slices about the size of a hen’s leg. The hen  "Liskie" was hosted in the clinic for two days, to be put under observation, and to make sure of her recovery.

She puts "whiskey", her feet in a plaster cast for a period of two months, and during this period she performs physiotherapy sessions, ranging between two and three months, so that she can walk without experiencing a movement impairment
