The security services arrested the fugitive Brotherhood leader Mahmoud Ezzat, the acting general guide of the Brotherhood, hiding in one of the apartments in the Fifth Settlement.
The Ministry of the Interior issued a statement this morning saying that it is a continuation of its efforts to confront the hostile plans that aim to undermine the foundations of security and stability and undermine the country's capabilities and monitor the movements of the fleeing Brotherhood leaders who take over the management of the Brotherhood organization at the internal and external levels. The statement listed the rulings issued against the arrested Brotherhood, Mahmoud Ezzat, the acting guide of the terrorist Brotherhood in absentia, and most notably:
- Execution in Case No. 56458 of 2013, Felonies, Nasr City, "it calls".
- Execution in Case No. 5643 of 2013, Nasr City First Division, "Escape from Wadi El-Natrun prisons."
Life in Qiya No. 6187 Felonies of the Mokattam Department "Juveniles of the Guidance Office."
Life in Case No. 5116, Fairies of the Samalout Center "Riots and Violence in Minya."

The statement added that legal measures have been taken and the Supreme State Security Prosecution is conducting the investigation, stressing that it will continue to deal decisively with any attempts aimed at undermining the stability of the homeland and controlling the elements planned and implemented for that.
